I LOVE them but I hardly ever go becuase I never have the time. I work ridiculous hours (weekends included) and I end up doing most of my grocery shopping either later at night or whenever I can fit it in...those times don't often coincide with the few hours a week that the farmers' market is going on.

We don't have one us. But if we did i would definately shop there

i do love farmer's markets. i think that there's something to be said not only for buying organic when possible but getting 'locally grown' as well. you know that you're produce is fresh when you get it from a farmers market and you're supporting local industry which is something that we NEED to do especially in today's economy and 'times'

do farmer's markets have more expensive products? i know the quality might be better then grocery stores, but are they a little more expensive? i like farmer's markets, i usually go for the experience, but i still buy most of my stuff from the grocery store. i wish i had the money to buy more from farmer's markets though

i enjoy walking through every saturday at the one they have here in union square NYC. its huge and i lov seeing all the fresh stuff...

We just moved to a place that has one a block away every Sunday. They're so fun and such a great atmosphere

I enjoy farmers' markets. It's nice to walk through them and get inspired.

i always buy all of my fruits and veggies at my farmers market.
everything is just so much fresher and tastier, all organic and nice to go to anytime of the day. Mine is open everyday, except for sundays.

I go every weekend to two of my favorite farmer's markets. First thing in the morning.

One has the absolute best prices on fruit and veggies and has really fresh items.

The other has baked goods (cakes, breads, quiches..etc) - savory snack items, homemade turkey products from this amazing local turkey farmer and really all kinds of great things.

I love a Farmer's Market. There's one on the Upper West Side in New York during the week and the vendors stay late so I can shop on the way home. And there's a fantastic one every weekend on the Upper East Side that we love to go to. It's a fun outing AND we get all this amazing produce.

I love them... I tend to get most of my produce through my CSA (I use Organic Express), but the farmer's market is perfect for the extras.

I LIVE for farmer's markets! Luckily, we have so many of them in Minnesota. There is nothing like talking with and getting to know the people who produce and raise what comes to your table. There are always new ethnic produce items popping up as well. This really pairs well with my need to try different flavors. NUM!!!

I wish the one near me was available more often - it's once a week, weekend mornings so occasionally it has to be skipped because of other plans. It's also pretty small. They set up outside a community pool, and I've never seen more than 15 vendors. Nonetheless, when zucchini's in season, I get a little bouncy about it.

For grasshopper - our farmer's market is significantly cheaper than the grocery store. One of the reasons I love it. I'm sure if the market is available more often, you're buying all organic, and depending on the produce it would be different at other markets.

We only have one farmers market anywhere around me (it's still kinda far) and it's definitely not year round. I want to go a couple times this year. It's pretty small but I love the idea.

I LOVE my local farmer's market! They have it every Saturday - the only thing is that it's in a tricky part of town to get to so I don't get to go as often. But the vegetables are so much better than you can find in any grocery store and usually quite a bit cheaper.

I'm glad strawberries are back in season. They were all on sale at the grocery store, so I bought a huge carton of one.

Super lucky is the sugar staff. Any job openings because that location is one of my favorites in the world (and chaya is just down the street mmm deep purples so yummy).

No farmer's markets near me, but we get our fruits and veggies from the farm stand near my parents' house in the summer. The corn is amazing.

Yes! It always looks so much yummier - a shame I can't afford them here (they're ridiculously expensive, and the veg are actually not that great)
