Pop sensation Kylie Minogue rivals Madonna with her penchant for transformation, whether she's showgirl glamorous or demure and ladylike. Beauty wise she always looks gorgeous, partly due to her wide smile but also because of her glowing skin and huge eyes.

Yesterday, Kylie dressed casual but kept her makeup polished for a shopping trip in London, in preparation for the BT Digital Music Awards. Subtle smoky eyes in soft grey, a natural peach blush and warm rose lip colour made for a pretty look that flattered her features.

• Face: Kylie has great skin but she always seems to wear a base to even out her skintone. Try No7 Instant Radiance Foundation, (£13.25), for glowing skin.
• Eyes: Smoky eyes have a sexily sophisticated quality that can work as well for day as for a party, so long as you keep it subtle. It's all about careful blending though and choosing dark grey or navy, as oppose to overly harsh black. First use a wash of pale grey on the eyelids, keeping it light for the smoky effect. Try using a grey eye pencil, such as MAC Eye Kohl, (£11), in Phone Number to line the eyes. Next, go over the liner with Chanel Professional Eyeliner Duo, (£25) in Noire et Marine, using just the navy blue colour and softly blending with the brush.
• Cheeks: Kylie has opted for a peachy pink blush on the apples of her cheeks for a healthy flush. Use Becca Lip & Cheek Creme, (£22), in Tuberose and dot onto the cheeks. Take the colour slightly up to the cheekbones for a more contoured effect.
• Lips: For a naturally polished effect ignore the catwalk and shun deep red or pale nude lipstick. Instead go for a flattering pinky-peach that suits your skin tone.
