This or That: Bailing For Better Scenery or a Boy?

You and your closest friend have finally been fortunate enough to live in the same city for the past year, for the first time since high school. She moves around a lot and is always searching for the next best place. It’s been amazing having her around and your life feels full in a way you just can’t get from a boyfriend. But when she says she needs to meet you to talk, you’re instantly worried. Would it be worse if . . .

This: She’s decided to move again, but this time overseas? She doesn’t have a real game plan or know when she’ll be back. You hope it's successful, but it seems like she's just trying to escape.

Or . . .

That: It turns out she’s getting back together with her ex-boyfriend, the one she's taken years to get over? You want her to be happy, but not at the expense of her mental well-being.

And again, I'm totally CONFUSED by this or that. I always vote for what I think is better! Dear, clearly I can't read.... I think other people do this too?

the ex is wayyy worse, if she ends up moving somewhere exotic it'll give you a reason to visit a new place.

Agree with all of you...yet the votes show most people think the moving is worse!

First option is much better because it allows a person to grow and gain perspective about the world. Change of scenery is usually a life-altering experience.

Shoot. I voted for what I thought was the better choice, also.

I always get them mixed up.
    lol

Anyway, I voted for her to move, because at least she will grow and gain new experiences.

Oh wait, oops...I voted for what I thought was better too! At least I'm not the only one. But I think it would be worse if she went back with the ex!

Craptastic. I voted the wrong way too. LOL. Oh well. I meant to vote for if she went back with her ex. It's funny b/c I was/am in that situation but without the being together all the time and she leaves to avoid me part. Lol. I've been thinking about my bff lately and it's kinda hard to really keep in touch. She's in Canada now with Hubs and it's been over a year. We were hoping they'd be back in the states by now but it hasn't worked out. I think it's harder b/c I haven't had a chance (or money) to go visit. That's the goal within the next 6 months. At this point, they're probably better off financial staying in Canada. Lol.

I'd rather have her be happy overseas than miserable 10 minutes away, no matter what. I'd rather be hurt than see my BFF hurting.

i think that it would be worse for her to decide that she wants to get back with an ex. i think that you would hear the better stories of happiness from her if she were to travel some where new, and you could always go and visit her, but if you're going to have to listen to what the ex is doing - or maybe just lose your friend all around, then it's just not going to be a good scene.
