On Dec. 4, we'll get to watch Barbara Walters interview her picks for the Most Fascinating People of 2008 for her annual TV special. This year's list includes Will Smith, Michael Phelps, Tina Fey, Tom Cruise, Rush Limbaugh, Miley Cyrus, and Frank Langella, but of course the big question is who will get the coveted No. 1 spot. So tell us — who do you think will be the most fascinating person of 2008?

If they don't pick Barack Obama as the most fascinating person in 2008, I will personally go down Barbara Walters' office and tell her a piece of my mind.

Even if you don't like him, he's fascinating. Plus, he's handsome. He's got it all, people... Smiling

Sarah Palin should get the award for setting the causes of women backwards 50 years under the guise of feminism and family values. Woman is a dangerous witch.

Barack Hussein Obama. MY new hero. Anything and everything is possible. Don't let your race, bad childhood and bad experiences eat you up!

Oprah or Katie Couric? Seriously? What is 'fascinating' about them? I guess though, she does pick some pretty stupid people.

I think Obama comes into politics at the right time, if he's tried a few years ago he would have lost. I adore the man.

I'm sorry but there is nothing interesting about Anglina, Oprah or Katie Couric. Let's try and move past the celebrity thing here...We elected an African American President, if Obama is not the clear winner, I have lost all hope in this country.

I think that Obama has got to be the choice. Who would have thought someone so untraditional could have taken on the big dog organizations like the Clintons and the Rove GOP, and won?

Well, it's certainly not Angelina Jolie. Just because she's with Brad Pitt and adopts or births a kid every 5 seconds, and somehow finds time to do some goodwill and charity work does not make her fascinating.

It's got to be Obama, young an that practically no one had heard of (when he first started running many didn't even know how to pronounce his name!) takes the country but storm, and wins the election! not to mention the first black president.

I think Sarah Palin is definatally second in line...

Obama hands down! He not only made history, but he's changed the political landscape in this country forever. He's changed the election process not to mention he really shook up the electoral map. Plus he's adored worldwide.

Palin? Um, please no. She's only fascinating because she wasn't properly vetted and therefore we got to hear all about her indiscretions and mistakes while she was campaigning. She's not the future of the Republican party, she's the end of it.

and jillbill, if your "the end is coming" and 4-5 "Palin 2012" comments are connected, then I can only agree with you.
