Celebrity Chefs: They're Just Like Us!
Jun 18 2008 - 4:30am If there's one thing I learned at the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen, it's that celebrity chefs are really just ordinary people! Over the course of the long weekend, Yum and I had our fair share of celebrity chef sightings. Although we saw them during the seminars and book signings, it was fun to see the chefs hanging out in regular clothes, acting like regular people. i love it when i meet a celeb and they are super down to earth and normal just like everyone else.
i had to opportunity to meet Guy Fieri at one of his restaurants in Santa Rosa (Tex Wasabi's- yum!) and he was SO cool! i wasn't expecting any more than a "hi, thanks for coming in" from him, so i was surprised to hear him keep the conversation going by asking where i am from. we ended up talking for about 15 minutes. i'm a guy fan for life!
