Last night in Los Angeles, some of the world's most talented singers attended the 2008 American Music Awards. In true red carpet form, the ladies took pride in their primping and arrived with intricate hair and makeup looks. To vote on their individual beauty styles, check out my girl Bella US's
love it or hate it polls, but overall, out of these eight looks, who wowed you the most?

Today's musical bests came out for the
American Music Awards, and several of them did so in style. There wasn't a lot of color or drama, but detailing and shimmer made up for it. Taylor Swift looked sweet in a beaded one shouldered dress, while Alicia Keys looked exotic in navy and a bindi.

Natasha took suiting up for the red carpet literally, arriving in a white satin menswear-inspired blazer and trousers. She definitely stands out from the rest of the crowd, but in a good way, or not so much?

Ali Landry showed off her love for ruffles in a pretty bright pink gown by Ina Soltani at the
American Music Awards. The actress's frock is contrasted with a black belt and matching platform pumps. An arm bangle and black resin earrings finishes off her fun and fancy look.

You probably already know that Queen Latifah is music industry royalty. But did you know that she's a bronze goddess, too? By featuring this shimmery tan shade on her lips, cheeks, and eyes, the look is cohesive and natural, with a chic twist.

Continuing the
LBD attack is actress Sarah Chalke. Tonight she turned up in a black satin Dolce & Gabbana halter dress with sexy corset detail. She kept her accessories black, too.

Queen Latifah went the trendy route, sporting metallic and a one-shouldered draped dress. I'm a fan of both, but the tailoring on this dress seems a little off — what do you think? P.S.

One thing I love about Alicia Keys: She's always taking risks with her style, something that too few stars seem to do these days. Her latest look centers on a jeweled hair accessory called a tikka. They're traditionally worn for special events in India, and if you like the Bollywood look,
these tikkas aren't too expensive.

It appears that Leona Lewis looked to her beaded dress for inspiration when choosing her makeup shades tonight.
The British songstress, who won X Factor a few years back, makes those icy green eyes pop with icy white accents on her lash lines. Call it a whole winter wonderland kind of vibe, if you will.

Peachy cheeks and bubble gum lips go a long way with Rihanna – I'm liking how her makeup complements her equally pastel dress. By choosing a lighter shade on her lids then blending up into a slightly deeper one under her brows, her jet black lashes stand out more than if she had chosen a darker shadow.
Rihanna's still loving her
old-school waves in a bouffant style but the one thing I'm not too sure about are those earrings.
