There are many rumours circulating at the moment regarding celebrity collaborations. In late November I reported that Alexa Chung might be lining up a collection with New Look and yesterday the rumour mill started churning out stories of Christina Aguilera for Topshop. Neither has been confirmed but who knows what 2009 has in store?

Bungalow 8 was the place to be last night, as Pixie Geldof was throwing her very own Christmas Party. Pixie entered in the festive spirit and wore fancy dress, as did Alexa Chung: the pair sang Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach" together on the karaoke, before Alexa left the party with boyfriend Alex Turner. The Sugababes went for classic LBDs and Josh Hartnett also partied til late. 
There have been so many well dressed celebrity ladies this year that we've divided them in to categories beginning with the new kids on the block. It really has been all about famous children this year from the Geldof sisters to the Dellals, to Daisy Lowe to Sting's daughter Coco Sumner. However, I have chosen five girls who have really discovered their own style recently appearing on the fashion radar attending parties, premieres and award ceremonys looks rather fabulous. 
Alexa Chung was out in London last night at the Atelier Moët launch, where she played another gig as a DJ alongside fellow record spinners Jefferson Hack and Giles Deacon for guests like Kris Marshall and Peaches Geldof. Alexa also has a column in The Independent as their "Girl About Town", she speaks about her fluid job titles and her life in general, here's an extract:
The morning after DJing, which ended up being incredibly good fun, the beyond-irritating beeps of my BlackBerry alarm woke me from my slumbers and prompted a sulky stroll to the bathroom. The Maker's Mark whiskey with which I had liberally doused my throat the previous night finally took its toll a bit later as I attempted to mount a horse while dressed, somewhat ironically, as a damsel in distress.
Telling you about the fashion world's current penchant for leather trousers gives me the same sick feeling as when I reported the reemergence of the bare midrift. It's not a trend that should be approached lightly but it was seen on the catwalk at Givenchy and has now been worn by British fashionistas Alexa Chung and Emma Watson.
It's a trend that should be approached with a skip full of caution and is certainly not for the faint hearted. 
The British Fashion Awards took place earlier this week and it seems that Alexa Chung might have used the opportunity for a spot of business development. The rumour mill is today suggesting that Alexa might be about to announce a collaboration with High Street retailer New Look as she was seated at their table on Tuesday night!
Alexa's style is much sought after and this year has seen her plunged in to the style spotlight as we desperately lust after her vintage style dresses and funky ensembles.
