I know it's hard to think about the summer when it's this cold, but I'm trying to stay positive by looking to future trends. The penchant for harem pants has been hanging around in the wings of fashion for a while appearing on the catwalk at Balmain and YSL for Autumn/Winter '08 but looks likely to be even bigger in the Spring. The Aladdin style trousers have already been worn by Naomi Campbell but are soon to be available in brighter shades. 
One thing is certain: Kate Bosworth loves and therefore lives in her Topshop acid-wash jeans and red Chloe buckle boots. It's admirable — despite being photographed constantly, she rewears her favorite pieces. This time around, she wore them while hanging out with her model boyfriend at The Grove in LA.

This boot hybrid is hard to come across — if you ever find a cool pair I suggest you swoop them up. Wedge boots are definitely a safer boot in harsh weather conditions; they are more grounded and resilient.

Reese Witherspoon's airport look is one of the reasons I love Fall. The season is all about bundling up in rich hues, and Reese nailed it. She fused black with purple and brown with refinement and ease.

Lindsay Lohan got herself and her chrome nails out of LA and into London alongside girlfriend Samantha Ronson. She ditched her leather jacket and instead opted for a plush ivory cowl-neck sweater, black leggings (presumably from her own line), and a Chanel bag. Her black-suede fringe boots are the highlight of the ensemble — they provide funkiness while retaining polish.

While other actresses are still wearing black, the always-forward Kate Bosworth has already transitioned into one of Fall's hottest color palettes: nudes. It's always easier to reach for dark hues so I give her major credit for pulling off this Chloe ensemble at the US launch party for the BlackBerry Bold. It's an easy look to copy — feel free to re-create it when you're feeling experimental.
