Since she was appointed the new ambassador of
Lancome earlier this year – Anne Hathaway had certainly upped the ante on her fashion and beauty choices. Once famed for her slightly gawky, teenage wide-eyed look she has recently metamorphosised into a super-stylish starlet.
Anne is starring in a glamorous commercial for the brand's new fragrance, Magnifique, which is out in September.

After all the Sex and The City fever earlier this year, it's strange to think that the film hasn't even opened in some parts of the world yet.
At the Japan premiere, yesterday, I noticed some weird and wonderful hairstyles, that made Sarah Jessica Parker's
fascinator at the London premiere, look almost ordinary.
Model Riyo Mori, who was last year's Miss Universe, is wearing, what can only be described as a very shiny hair roll. Or hair croissant perhaps?
A trend in the making, or just slightly mad?
What do you think of her look.

Holiday beauty can go one of two ways – either you see it as a chance to relax about your regime; give your skin a break from makeup and just generally aim for a laid back beauty look – or else you up the ante with the time to really experiment with new looks, and all that partying.
Personally, I do laid back in the day, for by the beach, and at night crank up the volume with glowing skin,
bright lights, bold colour and experimenting with new products.
Here's how to take your look from beach to bar: Just
- Hair: Start prepping your hair during the day. Protect from the sun, and get ready for the evening, by using non-oil based products.

Good news for fans of French cosmetics. No longer will you have to carefully plan visits across the channel to get your French beauty fix as several beauty brands

La Roche-Posay began to emerge in stores here in June and
Lierac will reach independent beauty stores in September. La Roche-Posay’s managing director Laurence Pardieu-Duthil

The judges on BBC innovation show Dragons' Den have clearly never had knotted hair. Shaun Pulfrey went on Dragons' Den to gain investment in his 'Tangle Teezer' product asking for £85,000 investment in exchange for a 15 per cent stake. The judges dismissed his idea saying that his idea 'was not a business'.
However, now Shaun P's 10 month turnover for the product (which is
available online) has been £800,000 making him a profit of £200,000.
Lush have been ahead of the eco-beauty game for some time. The natural cosmetics store has recently been placing great emphasis on raising awareness about excessive packaging. They already use unusual items to pack out their gift sets (including popcorn!) but they are now reinforcing a warning of its effects on the environment.
To illustrate their point they are employing an eye catching strategy to keep consumers interested by getting some of its staff to only wear aprons.

Rachel McAdams is a great example of how your hair colour can completely change your look. She is most familiar to me for her role as Regina George in 'Mean Girls' but I almost don't recognise her when she has dark hair. She has starred in many films since Mean Girls (of course) and is now out to promote
The Lucky Ones.
She spoke to the
New York Times about her ever changing hair colour: It’s a compulsion: I’m always changing parts of me.

Celebrities go to extreme measures to hide from the paparazzi. Ronnie Wood's Russian "girlfriend" Elkaterina Ivanova has literally painted her face as a form of disguise. She was spotted last night at uber-cool London club 'Punk' leaving in a Rolling Stone number jacket (subtle) with a brightly coloured face.
