Holiday beauty can go one of two ways – either you see it as a chance to relax about your regime; give your skin a break from makeup and just generally aim for a laid back beauty look – or else you up the ante with the time to really experiment with new looks, and all that partying.
Personally, I do laid back in the day, for by the beach, and at night crank up the volume with glowing skin,
bright lights, bold colour and experimenting with new products.
Here's how to take your look from beach to bar: Just
- Hair: Start prepping your hair during the day. Protect from the sun, and get ready for the evening, by using non-oil based products.

Most of you were not a fan of
Marni's open toe boots which Net-a-Porter highlighted as a key trend for Autumn/Winter. It's true, open toe boots are possible the most impractical items of the season but surely if teamed with the right outfit they can look great.
They require black tights or maybe even jeans but are not completely impossible to wear.

Remember when we were all swooning over
Shopbop girl Iskra's
Loeffler Randall Flat Boots ($750). The supple leather, the slight wedge, the subtle buckle . .

I have mixed feelings about these
Marni Peep-Toe Ankle Boots ($920). I love the cut and color, but I have an issue with the peep-toe. I wish the "peep" was a little bigger because no matter how skinny my toes may be, they'll never show through that tiny hole.
I caught you. You guys are already thinking about
Fall. I don't blame you, I'm
just as excited.

Fall is
soon approaching. What are your thoughts on these
Juicy Couture Snuggle Faux Fur Wedge Ankle Boots ($198). They look downright cozy, but I'm not a fan of Eskimo-esque footwear (no offense!).
With Fall comes one of my favorite types of footwear —
booties. As I perused, I came across these
Emilio Pucci Open Toe High Heel Booties ($835). The sexy cutout heel cap caught my attention and I love the snazzy signature print footbed.

Jamelia looked gorgeous and glowing at last night's Formula 1 party. My girl
Pop UK has all the gossip and pictures.
Of course her flawless complexion could just be down to
newly wedded bliss, with her new footballer husband, but what really caught my attention was her perfectly toned limbs, that looked almost
luminescent, and super shiny shoulders.
Here's how to mimic her glow:
- Black skin can often be very dry and needs regular exfoliating to make it shine. Try Boots No 7 Body Polish, (£9.25), every other day, or every day if your skin needs it.

For the first of these Wedding Survival Guides, I'm going to start you off with some easy beauty dos and don'ts. Most obviously is, don't
follow Kate Moss's lead and upstage the bride by looking too goddamn gorgeous. Or at least don't look like you're trying to upstage her – more that you're just naturally prettier.

Booties. I still love 'em. Modern booties are far from witch-like and boring, especially when we're talking these hot-pink
Christian Louboutin C'est Moi Shoe Boots ($825).
