This weekend,
GustOrganics, an all-organic restaurant in Manhattan, became the
world's first 100 percent USDA certified organic bar. The sleek,
eco-conscious bar and restaurant is located in Greenwich Village. The bar is stocked with certified
organic wine, beer, fresh fruit, and spirits such as rum, vodka, whiskey, and tequila.

This week
Noteworthy Nibbles includes an international
chocolate show complete with chocolate-inspired runway designs. In sunny Florida, the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival should be quite the spectacle. Folks who live in Virginia have the great fortune of two oyster events this weekend.

One of the biggest trends in the beauty world in the last five years has been the increase in awareness about using natural and
organic ingredients. More than ever before we are wanting to use products that are environmentally sustainable and initiatives such as
Brad Pitt and Kiehl's eco project have paved the way for beauty brands to get serious about the environment. However the fragrance world seems to be lagging behind when it comes to using organic ingredients.

In the past few years, organic bedding, which had previously been eco-friendly but not very design-savvy, has really come into its own, with beautiful patterns and vibrant colors spicing up a selection of organic cotton. I'm happy to see this textile gain mass appeal, and given its reasonable price point, there's really no excuse not to transition to organic bedding.

As much as a I hate to have bugs in my personal space, I'm also repelled by having chemicals on my skin. I prefer to be free of those artificial substances whenever possible. When it comes to keeping bugs away, I live by the same rules.
